Job summary

Ducks Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a Youth Engagement Coordinator to oversee Region 6 youth programs across OH, WV, PA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, and ME.

The role is remote but requires travel and residence or relocation to central to eastern PA, northern NJ, or central NY. Responsibilities include growing Varsity membership, promoting DU TRAP and DU’s R3 programs, recruiting Varsity chapters, and increasing Ducks University awareness.

Responsibilities

• Grow Varsity membership through engagement with youth shooting sports and the FFA
• Promote the DU TRAP program to youth shooting sports teams
• Promote DU’s R3 programs with state partners and NGOs to increase youth shooting and hunting participation
• Recruitment of new Varsity (high school) chapters and volunteers to the organization
• Increase awareness of Ducks University (collegiate) program and assist in recruitment of volunteers and members into existing chapters
• Build and maintain relationships with State Youth Engagement Chairs to promote DU’s youth engagement programs

Youth Engagement Coordinator

Region 6

The Youth Engagement Coordinator position encompasses the oversight of Ducks Unlimited's youth programs in Region 6 which includes the following states: OH, WV, PA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, & ME.

Chosen candidate must reside or relocate to central to eastern PA, northern NJ, or central NY. This position is remote but requires travel. As a remote employee, you may be required to come in at any time, with reasonable notice, into a DU office (or other designated location) for meetings and other business needs.

Job Responsibility:

The Region 6 Youth Engagement Coordinator position encompasses the oversight of organisation youth programs including but not limited to:

• Grow the organization’s Varsity membership through engagement with youth shooting sports and the FFA.
• Promotion of the DU TRAP program to youth shooting sports teams.
• Promote DU’s R3 programs with state partners and NGOs to increase youth shooting and hunting participation.
• Recruitment of new Varsity (high school) chapters and volunteers to the organization
• Increase awareness of Ducks University (collegiate) program and assist in recruitment of volunteers and members into existing chapters
• Build and maintain relationships with State Youth Engagement Chairs to promote DU’s youth engagement programs

Qualifications Required:

• Applicants must have a minimum of a four-year accredited degree to apply for this position.
• Prior volunteer experience with Ducks Unlimited will greatly benefit candidates, as well as experience in education, or R3 programs.
• Candidates should have outstanding communication, writing and organizational skills; ability to persuasively convey the mission of DU and be proficient in standard computer programs.
• The chosen candidate will be required to reside or relocate to central to eastern PA, northern NJ, or central NY at a mutually agreeable location, and office from their home. This work is remote but requires travel.
