Job summary

Gateway Longview is seeking a Youth Engagement Services/Independent Living Caseworker (YES/IP) to provide supervision, support, case management, counseling, and training to help youth move toward independent living and self-sufficiency within the community.

The role supports youth, families, and counties through a coordinated Center of Youth Development. The agency emphasizes equity, anti-racism, and opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
• Ability to work independently and be an enthusiastic team player
• High discretion with confidential information
• Willingness to flex work shifts for client matters
• Ability to collaborate with clients, staff, families and community contacts

Responsibilities

• Engage youth in face-to-face contact per program and county requirements
• Complete assessments and required paperwork per policy
• Teach and model interventions focusing on housing, self-sufficiency and employment
• Utilize trauma-informed care to collaborate with youth and supports
• Establish a comprehensive service plan and monitor progress
• Ensure timely documentation and confidential handling of chart notes
• Maintain safety and welfare of clients and progress toward goals
• Other duties as assigned
