Job summary

Division of Youth Services in Missouri seeks an Education Specialist to develop curriculum, plan lessons, and deliver instruction in day treatment and residential programs for youth.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a valid teaching certificate or the ability to obtain one via Missouri certification pathways; a driver’s license is required. You will implement IEPs, prepare progress reports, assess students, supervise youth, and transport when needed.

Qualifications

• Instructor role with curriculum development and assessment duties.
• Must possess a valid teaching certificate or be able to obtain one in Missouri.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Implement group and individual education plans and prepare learning materials.
• Work with a teaching team to develop, implement, and evaluate IEPs; consult with parents/students.
• Adhere to State and Federal testing guidelines and mandates.
• Prepare reports on client adjustment and progress; maintain scholastic/attendance records.
• Administer and score pre/post tests.
• Provide Awareness Supervision for youth with safety, conduct, education and therapy oversight.
• Transport and escort youth in everyday and emergency situations.
