Job summary

Boys & Girls Club Of the Northern Plains seeks an Education Coordinator to implement the 21st Century Community Learning Center after-school program and to supervise staff, plan curriculum, and coordinate enrichment activities for youth at the Flandreau Indian School site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited University; Education degree preferred.
• Experience working with youth in 9th–12th grade.
• Management/Supervisory experience.
• Ability to understand, implement and demonstrate behavior management principles and safety.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit the Club Values of excellence, impact driven, teamwork, and good character.
• Lead discipline and guidance for youth with behavioral challenges; assist with success plans.
• Assist with Club trainings and attend monthly all-staff meetings.
• Implement the 21st CCLC after-school program’s timeline from the grant.
• Manage daily activities at each program location; work with teachers to create weekly plans.
• Budget tracking for the 21st CCLC program.
• Collaborate with Marketing Director and Membership Coordinator to market the program.
• Work with Culinary Operations Manager to ensure nutritious snacks for all members daily.
• Interviewing, hiring, and disciplining teachers and assistants to maintain appropriate ratios.
• Supervise employees including reviews and performance plans.
