Job summary

The Education Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains will implement the 21st Century Community Learning Center after-school program, oversee curriculum, staffing, scheduling, and enrichment activities for youth at the Flandreau Indian School site. You will ensure safety, track youth numbers, and supervise staff and expectations in a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Education degree preferred.
• Experience working with youth in 9th–12th grade.
• Management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead and supervise employees; provide feedback on behavior management and safety.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit the Club Values of excellence, impact driven, teamwork, and good character.
• Lead discipline and guidance for youth with behavioral challenges; assist with success plans.
• Attend Club trainings and monthly all-staff meetings.
• Implement the 21st CCLC afterschool academic program’s timeline from approved grant.
• Manage daily activities at each program location and create weekly plans.
• Track budget for the 21st CCLC program.
• Collaborate with Marketing Director and Membership Coordinator to promote the program.
• Coordinate with Culinary Operations to ensure nutritious snacks are available daily.
• Ensure program meets goals and objectives; supervise staff via reviews and plans.
• Interview, hire, and discipline teachers to maintain appropriate ratios.
• Communicate with school administrators to support teacher-referred academics.
• Implement student evaluations per the 21st CCLC grant plan.
• Support community and family engagement activities; assist with other Club activities.
