Job summary

The Education Coordinator at Flandreau Indian School is responsible for implementing the five elements of positive youth development in daily interactions with youth and staff, and for the development, supervision, and review of the 21st Century Community Learning Center after-school program.

Responsibilities include safety, curriculum planning, staffing, scheduling, enrichment activities, and tracking youth numbers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited University; Education degree preferred.
• Experience working with youth in 9th–12th grade.
• Management/Supervisory experience; ability to lead staff and provide feedback.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit the Club Values of excellence, impact driven, teamwork, and good character.
• Lead discipline and guidance for youth with behavioral challenges and assist with youth success plans.
• Assist with facilitating Club trainings and attend monthly all-staff meetings.
• Implement the 21st CCLC after-school program’s timeline from the approved grant.
• Manage daily activities at each 21st CCLC site, creating weekly programming plans.
