Job summary

New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) seeks a Workforce Development Specialist to train and coach the Fostering Connections workforce, supporting the transition from foster care to adulthood. The role involves partnering with providers and stakeholders to implement best practices in youth development, trauma-informed care, and program compliance.

The position emphasizes collaboration, data reporting, and ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth and young adults with system involvement or trauma.
• Ability to partner with community services providers and stakeholders.
• Experience coaching workforce members who work with youth and young adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, coaching and technical assistance to the Fostering Connections workforce to support youth and young adults. 50%
• Develop, schedule, implement and track training and education activities. 20%
• Provide 1:1 and group coaching to staff and stakeholders. 20%
• Coordinate as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding training opportunities. 10%
