Job summary

The New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) seeks an experienced professional to assist the Northern Deputy Director of the Protective Services Division. The role focuses on researching, planning, developing, implementing, tracking and assessing projects that improve outcomes for children and families, and supporting data quality and case preparation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field and 1 year of social work/coordination experience.
• Any combination of education or experience totaling 3 years may substitute for the required education and experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and Defensive Driving Course certification.
• Pre-employment background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deputy Director in researching, planning, developing, implementing, and assessing projects for program improvement.
• Monitor and report regular data related to child welfare outcomes for program quality.
• Review cases and provider records in preparation for decisions on high profile cases and settlements.
• Coordinate, plan, and schedule meetings with internal partners and external stakeholders.
• Maintain meeting agendas, notes, and action plans.
