Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a Youth Development Site Director to lead our after-school program at Fox Elementary School. You will supervise staff, design engaging activities, and build strong partnerships with families and school staff.

Ideal candidates have experience in program administration and budgeting, Virginia licensing knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and a passion for guiding youth with positivity.

Qualifications

• Experience in staff supervision, budgeting, and program administration.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Meets Virginia DOE licensing requirements: college-level coursework or CDA.
• Minimum age: 21.
• Experience working with youth groups.

As a Center Director, you'll be the heartbeat of our program-planning engaging activities, building strong relationships with families, and leading a dedicated team to ensure every child feels supported and empowered.

What You'll Do

• Lead & Inspire: Supervise school-age children and guide on-site staff with positivity and purpose.
• Create Impactful Programs: Design and implement age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and growth.
• Build Community: Foster strong connections between families, school officials, and the YMCA.
• Ensure Excellence: Maintain licensing and quality standards while managing day-to-day operations.

What We're Looking For

Starting Salary: $47,000 -$49,000 per year
