Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area is seeking Youth Development Staff to join the Markesan program as a Site Coordinator. The role supports planning and implementing varied youth programs after school, in education, arts, sports, and wellness.

Shifts run during the school year, Monday through Friday 3:00-5:30pm, 15-25 hours per week. Requires strong communication, experience with youth, and ability to supervise activities to ensure safety and engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; high school juniors & seniors eligible.
• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development strategies.
• Proven ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to health, wellness and fitness messaging.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes and attracts members.
• Foster fun and creativity in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Promote and stimulate program participation in all areas.
• Encourage new member registration.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implement and administer programs for drop-in members and visitors.
• Monitor and evaluate programs for safety and quality.
• Prepare periodic activity and outcome reports.
• May participate in special programs outside typical hours.
• Ensure program areas are clean and organized for safety and engagement.
• Serve as a Mandated Child Abuse Reporter.
