Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine in Richmond seeks a Clinical Research Assistant to support multiple active studies with a focus on community outreach, patient engagement, and research communications.

You will coordinate lab communications, serve as a community liaison for the LEGO THRIVE at Home project, support ACCERT tasks, and assist with IRB documentation and data collection. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Public Health or equivalent experience.
• Experience in community engagement, program coordination, or health research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project communications across the lab's portfolio, including developing and disseminating research newsletters and stakeholder updates.
• Serve as a community liaison for the LEGO (THRIVE at Home) project, supporting outreach to cancer survivorship communities and underserved populations.
• Provide research coordination support for the ACCERT project, including tracking deliverables, coordinating meetings, and maintaining project documentation.
• Support IRB documentation, data collection activities, and reporting as needed across projects.
