Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson is seeking a dedicated program facilitator to plan and supervise activities in Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts and Physical Education. You will prepare weekly schedules, provide tutoring, maintain attendance records and ensure safe, engaging programs for youth.

Responsibilities include guiding members, coordinating supplies, and communicating with staff to meet high standards of care.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience working with children is required.
Knowledge of youth development is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
TB clearance and a valid CA driver's license are required.
Ability to guide and model positive behavior for youth.

Responsibilities

Promote and stimulate program participation.
Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for drop-in members and visitors.
Provide daily homework and tutoring assistance for members.
Maintain and keep files of attendance.
Collect all required documentation to operate programs.
Take inventory and order supplies as needed.
Advise Director or Coordinator of any program needs, concerns, and problems.
Prepare weekly and monthly schedules of activities.
Create learning center bulletin boards and displays.
Keep written logs of members’ observations and progress.
Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure safety and quality.
