Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake is seeking a Youth Development Professional (YDP) to run after-school programs for teens, guiding them toward academic success, good character and healthy lifestyles. The YDP will create engaging activities, supervise youth, and foster supportive relationships in a high-energy, team-driven environment.

This role reports to the Program Director, offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no late nights, 25 hours weekly, and opportunities for more hours in summer.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass criminal background, MVR and drug screening.
• 21 years or older and able to drive 15-passenger vans.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily activities for youth ages 13-18.
• Transport youth in Club vehicles for pickups, trips, etc.
• Promote engagement and consistent attendance in activities.
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and role modeling to support leadership, arts, physical activity, and academics.
• Provide active supervision and interaction with all members.
• Submit lesson plans, attendance, and related paperwork; plan events.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and attend local trainings.
