Job summary

Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club in Champaign, IL seeks a Youth Development Professional (Park Street) for the afternoon hours. You will work with a team to deliver engaging activities for youth ages 11-17, focusing on leadership, education, health, arts, and recreation.

The role is hourly and part-time, requiring energy, initiative, and a commitment to a positive club environment. Schedule includes Monday and Thursday 2:00pm–7:30pm, with opportunities to support club programs and youth development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with youth aged 11-17 is highly desirable.
• Strong youth group and behavior management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Unit Director and team to plan and deliver curriculum and activities.
• Provide direct supervision to Club members and actively engage in programs.
• Foster positive relationships with members and families.
• Apply classroom and behavior management techniques; report concerns to supervisor.
• Prepare incident reports and participate in conferences on youth behavior.
• Ensure accurate attendance and participation in daily reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and supervise members.
• Communicate professionally with members, families, staff, and partners.
• Model appropriate behavior and uphold Club image.
• Support enforcement of Club rules and provide guidance to members.
• Use MyClubHub to track attendance and participation.
