Job summary

Girls Inc. of Tennessee Valley is seeking a Youth Development Professional in Oak Ridge, TN. This role focuses on creating safe, engaging experiences for girls aged 5–18 through mentoring and high-quality programming.

You will facilitate educational and recreational activities, support academic success, leadership development, and healthy lifestyles while serving as a role model and advocate within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with youth or transferable background in education, recreation, mentoring, childcare, or human services.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet the organization's vehicle insurance requirements.
• Ability to safely operate a passenger van.
• Successful completion of required background screening.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Build positive mentoring relationships with girls.
• Deliver engaging Girls Inc. curriculum and activities.
• Maintain active supervision of participants and safety procedures.
• Complete attendance, incident reports, and required documentation.
• Collaborate with staff and participate in trainings.
