Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Youth Development Director to lead coaching for K-3 students and Guides, using performance data and observations to drive measurable improvements in independence and life skills. This in-person role is based at Alpha campuses in New York City or Miami, with relocation support.

You will own coaching outcomes for a cohort, build repeatable playbooks, mentor Guides, and deliver workshops on communication, resilience, focus, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, leadership, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience with elementary-aged children.
• Experience leading teams of five or more people.
• Experience building or growing a program or initiative with measurable outcomes.
• Data-driven approach and coaching-first mindset.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using performance data and observations to achieve improvements.
• Facilitate workshops for K-3 students on communication, resilience, collaboration, accountability, and focus.
• Lead coaching sessions that connect motivation to academic growth and independence.
• Build and refine repeatable coaching playbooks for the Guide team.
• Train and mentor Guides while modeling exceptional coaching daily.
