Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a Youth Development Director who will coach guides and students, using data and observations to drive measurable improvements. You’ll lead workshops, one-on-one coaching, and team playbooks, building a scalable coaching culture across K-3 cohorts.

You’ll work in person at an Alpha campus in New York City, NY or Miami, FL with relocation support. The role emphasizes developing people and improving outcomes over traditional classroom duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children (ages 5-9).
• Experience leading teams of five or more people and hiring decisions.
• Experience building or growing a program or initiative.
• Data-driven with a track record of measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using performance data and observations to achieve improvements.
• Facilitate workshops for K-3 students focusing on communication, resilience, and life skills.
• Lead one-on-one and small-group coaching to connect motivation with academic growth.
• Build and refine coaching playbooks to raise performance across the team.
• Train and mentor Guides while modeling exceptional coaching daily.
