Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is hiring a Youth Development Leader to support before/after school and day camp programs. You’ll create a safe, engaging environment, supervise activities, and build positive relationships with youth and families.

You’ll need at least 18, a high school diploma, and six months of experience with youth. CPR/First Aid/AED training (or willingness to obtain) required. Part-time hours with growth opportunities through dedicated programs.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 18 years old and a high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with youth in licensed settings.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe, engaged, and accounted for during activities.
• Foster a welcoming environment using positive behavior-management techniques.
• Lead YMCA curriculum through games, projects, and hands-on learning.
• Model YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, faith.
• Maintain a clean, organized program space meeting standards.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and school staff.
