Job summary

Alpha School seeks a Lead Youth Development Manager to coach Guides, develop leaders, and build a culture of excellence across campuses. This role focuses on coaching life skills and motivating students toward ambitious self-directed learning goals.

The position requires leading teams, data-driven decision making, and a willingness to open new campuses, with relocation support and on-site work at various markets including CT and NY area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance-based termination decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus and relocate if needed.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to consistently deliver exceptional student experiences while maintaining Alpha's high standards.
• Leading engaging life skills workshops that develop communication, leadership, focus, and other real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals and maximize progress in their self-directed academic programs.
• Using data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Helping launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture centered on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
