Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Youth Development Specialist to coach K-8 students across multiple campuses. You’ll lead high-energy life-skills workshops, use Coachbot analytics, and help students set and reach ambitious weekly goals.

This role focuses on developing resilience, leadership, and ownership, not traditional classroom teaching. You’ll work in person at Alpha campuses (e.g., Malibu, SF, NYC, Bethesda, and more).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with K-8 students through teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp leadership, or youth programs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Run high-energy, one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 students to develop communication, resilience, focus, leadership, and other durable skills.
• Coach students individually and in small groups using Coachbot analytics and motivation systems to help weekly goals.
• Assess life-skill mastery through Test2Pass and provide targeted coaching until genuine competence is achieved.
• Adapt coaching style across elementary and middle school students to meet diverse needs.
• Analyze weekly student performance data to identify patterns and improve outcomes for the cohort.
