Job summary

The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) invites applications for a Youth Development Coach at the Fort Hamilton High School site. You will provide individualized guidance, counseling, and case management, helping students with academic and career goals, and coordinating workshops on social-emotional learning and college readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, counseling or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in youth and/or workforce development.
• Culturally competent and sensitive to participants’ backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized guidance, counseling and case management; enter notes and track progress.
• Assist students with academic, financial and career goals; liaison with partners.
• Co-plan social-emotional learning, career-readiness and college-prep workshops; coordinate guest speakers and field trips.
• Maintain participant files, attendance, progress and outcomes; assist with recruitment and retention.
