Job summary

The Chinese American Planning Council (CPC) in New York City is seeking a Success Coach to support afterschool and college readiness activities within our Education and Career Services team. You will guide youth through college applications, financial aid, and career exploration, while coordinating events and program logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Work, Counseling or related field a plus.
• Experience working with youth and/or workforce development preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese and/or Spanish.
• Strong written, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in planning and implementation of program activities and events for afterschool programs including college readiness, mental health, leadership and advocacy skills.
• Provide group or one-on-one support to students on college applications, financial aid applications, and planning of college trips.
• Outreach, recruitment, and enrollment of community members to meet program allocation.
• Assist with workshops and work readiness training and program orientation.
• Assist with administrative aspects of the program including data entry, filing, and organizing participant folders.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director.
