Job summary

Macomb County is seeking a Youth Specialist to care for and secure residents at the Juvenile Justice Center. You will assist in program implementations and supervise activities, ensuring proper dress, meals, and timely completion of tasks.

The role requires observing behavior, reporting relevant information, and sometimes transporting residents for services; overtime may be required. A strong interaction with youth and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate degree in psychology, sociology, or criminal justice.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and insured vehicle for authorized travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, safety and security for residents at the Juvenile Justice Center.
• Assist in program implementation and work assignments.
• Enter case information into computerized system and generate reports.
