Job summary

LEAP in New Haven, CT seeks a Learning Coordinator as part of the Children’s Program. This full-time, in-person role supports curriculum design, materials management, and staff training for youth ages 7–24 across LEAP sites in New Haven.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with youth ages 7–24.
• Excellent leadership, time management, facilitation and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of youth development best practices and community-based education.
• Understanding of needs of first-generation and low-income students, students of color, and immigrant families.
• Cultural competency in African American and Latino communities.
• Ability to travel to program sites for coaching and site support.

Responsibilities

• Support design of curriculum elements for Children’s Program and Leaders in Training and related initiatives.
• Gather, organize, maintain and budget learning materials.
• Establish connections with libraries and bookstores to keep the library updated with culturally relevant books for youth.
• Support design and implementation of training programs for LEAP counselors and staff.
• Data management: manage information about curriculum and training implementation.
• Assist in assessing programming and program reports as requested.
• Collaborate with LEAP staff across departments and participate in training and professional development.
