Job summary

The YMCA of Central New York is seeking an Assistant NYS Learning and Enrichment After-school Program Supports (LEAPS) Coordinator to plan, organize and lead a comprehensive enrichment program for children. You will ensure well-being, staff coverage, and adherence to NYS OCFS guidelines.

You will develop and supervise curriculum, coordinate daily activities, manage records, and process payroll while partnering with families and caregivers to support youth development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in child development, elementary education, PE, or related field.
• New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential.
• School Age Child Care Credential.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in the above listed areas.
• Two years direct experience working with children under 13, including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Models the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
• Plans, coordinates, organizes and leads all daily program activities.
• Oversee and assist with hiring all LEAPS program staff.
• Oversee curriculum and lesson plans for academic and arts/enrichment activities.
• Collect and organize program data and maintain records.
• Process payroll for all program staff.
