Job summary

Advanced Behavioral Health in Baltimore seeks a Youth Crisis Stabilization Therapist to deliver intensive community-based treatment for youth and families within the DSS system, aiming to preserve families and stabilize placements. A full-time W-2 role located in Baltimore with competitive annual compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related discipline.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is required. Certification must be maintained.
• Knowledge of clinic territory and HIPAA regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with CARF/COMAR/HIPPA/State compliance regulations.
• Maintain EMR documentation with 48-hour standard.
• Provide intensive community-based treatment for up to 6 weeks to youth and families.
• Collaborate with Youth Crisis Stabilization Therapists on discharge plans.
• Organize schedules and resources, including transportation and escort.
• Attend family involvement meetings with BCDSS.
• Refer to community providers for comprehensive support.
• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA and update referrals as needed.
• Respond promptly to communications from clients and referral sources.
• Monitor cases, document progress, and advocate for services and entitlements.
• Record-keeping: review notes and document progress.
• Share progress during weekly multidisciplinary meetings.
• Prepare discharge plans and coordinate post-discharge needs.
• Support staff through education resources and continuous learning.
• Contribute to department reputation by taking on new requests and value-added tasks.
• Work on authorizations through Optum and update EMR/Optum accordingly.
• Complete clinical notes within deadlines and participate in monthly meetings.
