Job summary

Dakota County in Hastings, MN is seeking a Safety Stabilization Crisis Worker to maintain safety at the Juvenile Services Center campus. The role emphasizes deescalation, safety planning and crisis intervention for youth and families on a rotating schedule within the Safety Stabilization Program.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's in social services fields and 1 year of experience or two years as para-professional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or human services and either 1 year of full-time professional experience or two years of para-professional experience.
• Candidate must be at least 21 years old.
• Safety sensitive position per county policy; impairment risks in duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of Juvenile Services Center campus in Hastings, guiding clients throughout the day.
• Utilize deescalation techniques, develop safety plans, and facilitate groups.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed; focus on deescalation and not physical holds of residents.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in social work/psych
