Daybreak in Dayton, OH is seeking an entry-level part-time Weekend Intake and Crisis Response Coordinator to support runaway and missing youth reports, perform safety screenings, and coordinate with regional dispatch and law enforcement.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED with at least two years of youth-facing experience, and offers weekend shifts from 11:00pm to 7:00am as part of the Third Shift overnight.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of experience working directly with youth or young adults; homelessness or housing instability experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to runaway and missing youth calls from dispatch, law enforcement, agencies, parents, guardians, and community members.
  • Conduct safety screenings to determine exigent or unusual circumstances requiring law enforcement response.
  • Make rapid, accurate safety decisions and determine appropriate response pathways.
  • Handle emergency crisis calls and provide immediate support and guidance.
  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive communication with youth, families, and partners.
  • Speak with returned youth when dispatched to assess safety and needs.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and dispatch to ensure timely responses.
  • Document follow-up and coordinate with patrol or detectives.
  • Participate in MDT meetings and case reviews as assigned.
  • Communicate with out-of-home placement providers and community agencies.
