Job summary

Daybreak in Dayton, OH is seeking an Intake Coordinator for the RONI Project to receive and respond to missing and runaway youth reports. This part-time weekend role covers every other Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am-3:00pm, and requires calm, trauma-informed communication with families, agencies, and law enforcement.

You will conduct safety screenings, document cases, coordinate with partners, and connect youth and families with services while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records in multiple

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience working directly with youth and young adults; homelessness experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to runaway and missing youth calls from regional dispatch, law enforcement, agencies, parents, guardians, and community members.
  • Conduct initial safety screenings to determine exigent circumstances requiring immediate law enforcement response.
  • Make rapid, accurate safety risk decisions and determine appropriate response pathway.
  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive communication with youth, families, and partners.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings as assigned.
  • Enter and update information in Daybreak systems and grant-required databases.
