Job summary

Daybreak Inc. is seeking an Intake Coordinator for the RONI Project in Dayton, OH. The role handles missing youth reports, safety screenings, and crisis response, serving as the first contact for families and partners. Weekend, 2nd shift (Sat-Sun, 3:00pm-11:00pm) requirements will apply.

The position requires trauma-informed practice, strong communication, and the ability to work under high stress while coordinating with law enforcement and providers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
• At least two years of experience working directly with youth and young adults; homelessness or housing instability experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to runaway or missing youth calls and conduct intake.
• Perform safety screenings and rapid risk assessment for law enforcement response.
• Provide crisis support and trauma-informed communication with youth and families.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, dispatch, and community partners for timely responses.
• Document intake, prescreening, and safety assessments in multiple systems.
• Support outreach and gather information on youth networks and locations.
• Assist families in connecting to services and next steps after incidents.
