Job summary

Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is seeking a frontline youth services worker to support youths in placement and in the community. You will interact with youth during daily activities, assist with crisis intervention, and participate in treatment team meetings to help develop and implement plans.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience, plus a valid NYS driver's license.

Qualifications

• Education is HS and minimum of 1-year related experience.
• A Valid NYS Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Interact with youth throughout their day-to-day schedule while youth is in placement and in the community.
• Support youth when crisis intervention is needed while in placement and while in the community.
• Attends and actively participates in treatment team meetings, release conferences and other meetings related to the youth service plan.
• Support and assist staff in deescalating conflicts by providing strength-based, unbiased crisis counseling and support to all individuals.
• Offer ongoing mentoring to youth and staff in area of trauma informed care and de-escalation techniques.
• Support in the creation and implementation of Behavior Support Plans to assure safety of all assigned individuals.
• Support families if youth refuse to attend school, is arrested, has court proceedings in criminal court, does not follow through with their conditions of release, and exhibits any challenges at home while in the community.
