Job summary

Nexus Family Healing is seeking a Temporary Relief Behavioral Health Practitioner to join our youth crisis and stabilization center in Minneapolis. The role supports residents’ therapeutic plans and collaborates with a team to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care in a 13-bed residential setting.

Requirements include being 21+, a valid driver’s license, ability to engage diverse populations, and DHS background clearance; multiple pathways qualify, including degrees or supervised experience

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities.
• Open to meeting cultural needs of individuals or communities.
• Successfully participate in a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention exam and training.
• Must pass DHS criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Support and reinforce the therapeutic plan of residents.
• Provide mentorship and supervision of resident daily activities and behavior.
• Collaborate with coworkers on treatment plans and therapeutic services.
• Ensure resident safety and maintain a positive, respectful, therapeutic environment.
• Work with families/support networks to reinforce positive family partnerships.
• Plan and participate in off-campus resident activities and transportation to home visits or appointments.
