Job summary

The Children’s Home in Kingston, NY, is seeking a CPST/PSR care provider for youth under 21, utilizing DBT to help youth develop skills for home, school, and community functioning. Responsibilities include building therapeutic relationships with youth and families, coordinating with supervisors, documenting progress, and ensuring safe transportation.

Requirements: Bachelor’s in Human Services and 1 year of experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field - CPST position required
• 1 year of experience in Human Service field required
• Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required.

Responsibilities

• Provide CPST under PSR/CPST programs.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships with youth and families.
• Promote caregiver-child relationships per treatment plan.
• Identify and communicate behavioral, emotional or medical needs with consented providers.
• Meet progress with program supervisor and licensed professional as needed.
• Complete administrative functions including scheduling visits, planning activities and timely documentation.
• Provide safe transportation as part of service delivery.
• Collaborate with youth, family and other service providers for comprehensive care.
