Job summary

The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to deliver CFTSS CPST and PSR services in the community. The role emphasizes youth and family support with collaboration across schools and agencies in the Hudson Valley.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a human services field and have experience with children and families; a NYS driver license is required. Community-based work and ongoing professional development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of applicable experience in human services, preferably with children and families.
• Master's Degree with 1 year of applicable experience in human services, preferably with children and families.
• Valid NYS Driver License in good standing as determined by the agency

Responsibilities

• Develop the CFTSS Treatment Plan, including client centered goals, and deliver CPST and PSR components.
• Provide strengths-based service planning and psychoeducation to children and families in the community.
• Provide solution-focused interventions using evidenced-based practices.
• Meet with children/families based on frequency noted in the Treatment Plan.
• Deliver services in individual, group, and/or family formats.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and other providers to ensure continuum of care.
