Job summary

South Oaks in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Youth Counselor for our QRTP program to provide structure, support, and positive relationships for girls ages 12–17.

You will help each youth set goals, develop healthy coping skills, and move toward their individual plans, staying calm on difficult days and celebrating progress.

Qualifications include being 21+, HS diploma or GED, and preferably a Bachelor's in Human Services; strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred.
• Prior experience with children in school or mental health settings preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide structure, support, and encouragement to girls ages 12–17.
