Coleman Health Services seeks a Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services to deliver crisis intervention and counseling to youth and families across Logan and Champaign Counties, Ohio. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess needs and link clients to ongoing supports.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and LPC/LSW licensure, plus 2 years in behavioral health. Valid driving record and ability to travel required.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated crisis counseling for youth and families in crisis.
• Travel throughout Logan and Champaign Counties to conduct crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and follow-up care.
• Provide brief intervention with ongoing assessment and linkage to services for up to 6 weeks.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver prevention, sustainability, and trauma-informed care.
• Be an active member of the MRSS service line and contribute to raising awareness of the Crisis Continuum of Care.

Coleman Health Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services is seeking a social worker and/or counseling individual to provide crisis intervention and counseling services to youth and familiesin various community settings throughout Logan and Champaign Counties, Ohio.MRSS Youth Counselors at Coleman work as a part of a cohesive, multi-disciplinary care team to provide the best outcomes for the clients and families we serve.The MRSS Team provides outreach to youth & families 20 years old and under to help them resolve a person-defined crisis and link with ongoing support services as needed. This is a Tuesday - Friday position with regular scheduled hours of 10am to 8:00pm.

• Annual pay range is $60,000 - 75,000 based on licensure and experience

Duties of Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) include:

• Dedicated crisis counselor for youth and families in crisis
• Travel throughout Logan and Champaign Counties to provide crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and follow up care
• Provide brief intervention along with ongoing assessment and linkage to services and needs up to 6 weeks
• Work together with a team of counselors/social workers, case managers, peer support specialist and the Director to provide prevention, sustainability, and reduce trauma in youth and their family members.
• Be a member of the newest and most valued service line for youth as we increase awareness and bring hope to the Crisis Continuum of Care in Logan and Champaign counties.

Qualifications of Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) include:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) licensure
• Have/willing to get their NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers (we will assist)
• Have and maintain an excellent driving record
• 2 years' experience working in the behavioral healthcare field

Preference given to candidates with independent license (LPCC, LISW) and work experience in the following areas:

• Experience with youth and families in community behavioral health or crisis intervention setting
• Experience in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma informed care
