Job summary

Coleman Health Services in Ohio is seeking a social worker and/or counselor to provide crisis intervention and counseling services to youth and families in community settings.

As a dedicated member of the MRSS team, you will travel across Jefferson County for crisis assessment, safety planning, and follow-up care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary group to reduce trauma and support ongoing connections to services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) licensure required.
• Must obtain NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers; assistance provided.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated crisis counselor for youth and families in crisis.
• Travel throughout Jefferson County for crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and follow-up care.
• Provide brief intervention with ongoing assessment and linkage to services for up to 6 weeks.
• Collaborate with a team of counselors/social workers, case managers, and directors to reduce trauma in youth and families.
• Be part of the newest service line to increase awareness and support Crisis Continuum of Care in Jefferson County.

Coleman Health Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services is seeking a social worker and/or counseling individual to provide crisis intervention and counseling services to youth and familiesin various community settings throughout Jefferson Countiy, Ohio.MRSS Youth Counselors at Coleman work as a part of a cohesive, multi-disciplinary care team to provide the best outcomes for the clients and families we serve.The MRSS Team provides outreach to youth & families 20 years old and under to help them resolve a person-defined crisis and link with ongoing support services as needed.

Job Duties:

• Dedicated crisis counselor for youth and families in crisis
• Travel throughout Jefferson County to provide crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and follow up care
• Provide brief intervention along with ongoing assessment and linkage to services and needs up to 6 weeks
• Work together with a team of counselors/social workers, case managers, peer support specialist and the Director to provide prevention, sustainability, and reduce trauma in youth and their family members.
• Be a member of the newest and most valued service line for youth as we increase awareness and bring hope to the Crisis Continuum of Care in Jefferson County

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) licensure
• Have/willing to get their NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers (we will assist)
• Have and maintain an excellent driving record
• 2 years' experience working in the behavioral healthcare field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with youth and families in community behavioral health or crisis intervention setting
• Experience in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma informed care
