Job summary

Management & Training Corporation operates the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, KY, and seeks a dedicated counselor to support students with personal, educational and career development.

You will plan, coordinate and implement a professional counseling program for assigned students in compliance with government and MTC directives, providing group and individual services and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours in social services and one year counseling experience.
Experience with youth and strong written and verbal communication; computer proficiency required.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Review detailed background file, conduct personal interviews and assessments to analyze and recommend a program for each assigned student.
Maintain individual folders on each assigned student.
Provide direct aid to students with personal needs or problems, prepare UA reports and leave forms, verify information per PRH and MTC requirements.
Provide counseling (educational, personal, social) on an individual and group basis; recommend program modifications.
Document progress and maintain up-to-date case notes in CIS and other systems.
Refer students to other program areas or advanced opportunities as needed.
