Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is seeking a full-time counselor to join the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, KY. You will plan, coordinate, and implement a professional counseling program for assigned students in line with government and organizational directives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with social services coursework and one year of counseling experience, plus strong written/verbal communication and computer skills. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours in social services related instruction and one year of counseling experience.
• Experience with youth and excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, develop and implement a counseling program for assigned students.
• Review background files, conduct interviews and assessments to tailor programs.
• Maintain student folders and document using CIS and other systems.
• Provide individual and group counseling; adjust programs as needed.
• Refer students for medical/psychiatric evaluation and coordinate transfers/placements.
