Job summary

Abraxas Youth & Family Services is hiring a Youth Counselor / Juvenile Detention Specialist in Morgantown, PA. Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of handling adolescents during crisis situations using safe crisis management techniques.
• Must be prompt, dependable, and able to establish professional boundaries and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be comfortable dealing with individuals in treatment and justice involvement.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of juvenile males in programming utilizing acceptable behavioral management principles.
• Supervise clients during daily activities to ensure safety and security.
• Respond to emergencies, including evacuation, CPR, and first aid.
