Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies is seeking a Youth Counselor for Alameda Connections to deliver family-centered mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and case management for youth birth through age 10 and their families. The role supports trauma-informed, culturally responsive care in community settings and across a multidisciplinary team.

The position emphasizes flexible scheduling, collaboration with schools and community partners, and ongoing professional development within a Bay Area

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with experience working with youth or families or in social services.
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and state/federal licensing requirements.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, insurability per agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and case management for enrolled youth and their families.
• Help connect clients to natural supports and community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention and mental health services at homes, schools, or other community sites.
• Attend treatment reviews, program staff meetings, and IEP meetings when needed.
• Complete mental health notes and service tracking documentation.
