Job summary

MobilizeGreen Youth Programs is seeking a Program Manager to lead an overnight, travel conservation program for high school students across national forests. You will supervise 2–3 program coordinators, manage recruitment, onboarding, and training, and ensure program goals align with partner requirements.

This on-site/remote role requires strong leadership, data management, outdoor safety, and problem-solving. Travel ~15% with multi-site coordination for summer cohorts and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring high school students and entry-level staff.
• Knowledge of conservation, land management, or outdoor recreation safety protocols.
• Experience with crisis response (mental health, natural disaster, etc.).
• Ability to learn end-to-end financial oversight and performance tracking.
• Willingness to travel 2 months or more each year.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and manage 2–3 program coordinators to ensure timely prep and efficient use of resources.
• Coordinate workshops, software training, tools training, or compliance instruction for staff.
• Guide coordinators in planning housing, camping, meals, recreation, and education.
• Review safety plans and budgets to ensure alignment with policies and projections.
• Prepare quarterly performance tracking and reports for partners.
