Job summary

Adventure Scientists is hiring a full-time Program Operations Lead to support and lead their Programs team. The role involves people leadership, portfolio oversight, capacity planning, and building operational systems to help deliver complex conservation work across countries and cultures.

This nonprofit pairs scientists with individuals who can gather environmental data, and the position offers a hybrid (preferred) or remote setup with US-based partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on project or program management experience.
• 5+ years in people leadership with coaching and building a team.
• Portfolio of concurrent programs including some international exposure.
• Experience navigating cross-cultural, multi-time zone, varied regulatory environments.
• Experience building operational systems: workflows, dashboards, SOPs, documentation.
• Preferred PMP/PRINCE2 and CSM or Agile certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide people leadership and guidance to the Programs team.
• Oversee a portfolio of concurrent conservation programs.
• Plan capacity and optimize program delivery across countries and cultures.
• Develop and improve operating systems, workflows, dashboards, and SOPs.
