Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe is seeking a dynamic leader to manage daily operations at the Kings Beach clubhouse, oversee youth programs, staff training, and service delivery, while guiding payroll and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree and a proven track record in supervising staff, managing facilities, budgeting, and building community partnerships to enhance program impact.

Qualifications

• Four year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of five years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.
• Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
• Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
• Event Management skills.
• Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
• Must be able to drive Club vehicles

Responsibilities

• Establish Club programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates the achievement of the Formula For Impact Priority Outcomes.
• Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.
• Trains and develops staff members ability to deliver high quality programs.
• Managing payroll, time off requests and similar administrative tasks related to their subordinates.
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate the Club’s overall programs, services and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests.
• Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
• Plan and conduct regular staff meetings.
• Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.
• Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the Club and the community.
• Purchase or approve purchases of supplies and equipment
• Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.
• Oversees special programs & events, and participate in the implementation of other club activities as necessary.
• Drive the club van in accordance with policies.
