Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis is seeking a Club Director - Central Office to oversee daily operations, program delivery, staff supervision, facilities management and community relations at the Memphis Club.

The role requires a four-year degree, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and the ability to recruit staff and volunteers, build partnerships with parents and community, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for youth.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field.
• Minimum two years' experience in Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good driving record.
• Group leadership skills and personnel supervision.
• Budget preparation and management.
• Fundraising events experience.
• Ability to work with youth, parents and community leaders.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.

Responsibilities

• Establish Unit programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and create a club environment for achievement.
• Ensure a healthy and safe environment, maintaining facilities, equipment and supplies.
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate Unit programs to meet objectives and member needs; compile regular reports.
• Manage Unit financial resources and assist in annual budgets; control expenditures.
• Maintain administrative systems for property and equipment operation and facility use by outsiders.
• Recruit, manage and develop staff and volunteers; conduct regular staff meetings.
• Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.
• Maintain public relations to increase visibility of programs and activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Unit Advisory Board to promote needs.
• Ensure program goals are met within the clubhouse and supervise volunteers and staff.
• Evaluate programs to address member needs and gender/cultural diversity.
