Job summary

Central Rock Gym in Framingham, MA is seeking a Coach to foster a fun, welcoming environment for youth climbers, introduce fundamentals, build a solid base, and develop a structured curriculum that keeps athletes engaged.

You will regularly lead practices with confidence, complete SafeSport training for youth coaches, adhere to our coaches’ code of conduct, and maintain clear communication with staff about scheduling and athlete progress.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with youth in an educational setting.
• Strong behavior management skills with youth of all ages.
• Strong in-person and remote communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years of climbing experience.
• Weekday afternoon availability and willingness to work weekends.
• Proficiency in top rope belaying.
• Careful attention to detail, ability to analyze movement and provide insightful feedback.

Responsibilities

• Regularly leading practices with confidence.
• Completion of SafeSport training for youth coaches.
• Strict adherence to our coaches’ code of conduct.
• Create and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Consistent communication with coaching staff regarding scheduling, practice, and athlete progress.
• Other duties as required.
