Job summary

Alsip-Merrionette Park Public Library District is seeking a friendly, dependable part-time Youth Services Clerk to join our welcoming team in Lansing, Illinois. You will assist children, teens, and families at the Youth Services Desk, keep materials organized, and support a safe, inviting space for all visitors.

Responsibilities include checking materials in and out, shelving accurately, shelf reading, maintaining an accessible collection, and assisting with department projects.

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• Customer service experience; library experience is a plus.
• Some experience working with children.
• Must work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Background check required.
• 3 Floating Holidays.
• Birthday Holiday.

Compensation

This part-time position offers a pay range of $15.72-17.48 per hour. Compensation is determined based on how well a candidate’s experience and qualifications align with the responsibilities and requirements of the position. Most offers are expected to fall within the base to mid-range, depending on relevant experience and job requirements.
