Job summary

Nixa Public Schools seeks a dedicated Cheer Coach to supervise and direct all aspects of the Nixa Youth Cheer program. You will collaborate with High School Varsity Cheer coaches to blend teaching ideas, organize practice plans, lead practices, and emphasize safety and proper techniques.

Responsibilities include supervising all practices and games, coordinating with the Activities Director, and developing weekly practice schedules and game plans.

Qualifications

• Prior cheer coaching experience preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug test.

Job description

Supervise and direct all aspects of the Nixa Youth Cheer program. Work with the High School Varsity Cheer coaches to blend fundamental teaching ideas. Organize practice plans, lead practices, stress safety and proper techniques in teaching fundamentals. Supervision in all practices and game supervision before, during and after practices and games. Work with Activities Director and develop weekly practice schedules and game planning.

EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Prior cheer coaching experience preferred. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
