Job summary

The Salvation Army International in Sapulpa, Oklahoma seeks a part-time Youth Development Professional to plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate programs at the Red Shield Youth Center. You will support priority outcomes in academics, healthy living, and character development while engaging youth and families in a safe, welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, prior youth-focused experience, and be willing to participate in ongoing professional

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; experience with Children and Youth preferred.
• Commitment to participate in a Professional Development Plan incl. Level II & Level III Training (20 credit hours).
• Ability to follow safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates activities within the program area.
• Oversees special programs/events (Keystone, Youth of the Year, Awards).
• Provides supervision in absence of Program Coordinator to ensure continuity of services.
• Builds professional relationships with Youth Center members and families to advance The Salvation Army's mission.
