New Beginnings, Inc. in Lewiston is seeking a Community Case Manager to support homeless youth through case management, housing assistance, and life skills training within the Transitional Living Program.

This role includes outreach, assessments, and developing individualized service plans to secure positive outcomes. The position involves coordinating with private and public housing providers, conducting weekly youth meetings, and traveling to Augusta or Farmington as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human-services related field or equivalent with 2 years direct service experience.
• Combined five years of education/experience in social, health or behavioral health fields.
• Current Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community (MHRT/C) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for youth in the Maine Transitional Living Program, including assessments and creating service plans.
• Engage with homeless youth, facilitate housing searches, and collaborate with housing providers.
• Maintain weekly contact with youth and document progress in case records.
• Advocate for youth and teach self-advocacy and life skills.
• Coordinate services with community partners and interns.
